The reason why I feel so adamant about it is because I see the entire black assualt rifle population drying up right before my very eyes.

Yeah, my local dealer has a table full of them for $569 as well(KY). Pretty good price I guess. Very tempted to go buy one, might just have to sell off something to fund it though.

Here is the GunBroker listing, a few over $1k. I wouldn't mind picking up a Saiga 12 but now my primary focus is ammo.

I whole heartedly agree with you. I think guns and ammo will make a terrific financial investment on top of providing security for you and your family. I am no mastermind investor by any means but I believe guns and ammo as an investment will outperform the DJIA over the next 5-10 years. Not to mention the immeasurable security aspect of it. I can't think of a safer or smarter way to invest right now.

People who invested in firearms related items pre 1994 made a great return. The only question is whether there will be a grandfather clause this next time around. I am betting....not. There will always be the underground markets though.

Shooters Supply in Louisville had about 10 of them on the table. We looked and fondled them, but my buddy couldn't make up his mind. They also had a wall full of AR15's, and the guy stated that they had emptied the wall three times already! This place has some nice stock at any given time.

They were $579 or $569, right there though. If I just knew a little more about them I think I might have picked one up. Anyone have any good links to where I can research them real good???
